Princess costume sewn

Trying to get my mind off troubles, I sewed the My Twinn "butterfly princess" outfit today. I thought those participating in the Morrissey Patterns contest for Nellie ( http://www.morrisseydolls.com/gaznew.html ) might enjoy seeing it since it has some similarities to that pattern (the sleeves, neckline, and top-layer of the skirt pulled up). I did the style a lot differently in that I made the belt and top skirt out of the same fabric, instead of the bodice and top skirt (it looks more like an apron). Edited to add: I didn't make it differently because I wanted to do something different/creative. I made it "wrong" because I wasn't paying attention! [img]redface.gif[/img]

Kathrine, she's a 23" My Twinn doll that I named Emma (rewigged). Unfortunately, they aren't making these dolls any more. [img]frown.gif[/img] But Anne/kitschywoman explains in another thread about how they're coming back...hooray!

Ann, I can't enter the contest because this is an unrelated pattern to the princess one, so it wouldn't count. I was a little disappointed that this one was so similar since I was thinking of entering the contest. Once I got this pattern I thought the two dress designs were too similar to excuse getting one for AG.

If any of you are making the princess dress, be careful! [img]wink.gif[/img] It was easy for me to mess up on which materials went where. [img]redface.gif[/img] I think it would look more princess-y the right way.
